Writing : A Wonderland I Made Only For Me

If people asked what my interests are, then I’ll answer one of them is writing. And if people ask what my passion is, I’ll say it’s also writing. To be honest, I don’t remember when did I start to write and since when did I come to love it so much that I would definitely write anytime and anywhere.  For me, writing is a guilty pleasure, though there’s nothing guilty in writing, because writing is the only thing I can do whenever I feel bad, sad, angry, or even happy and I have no one to talk to. In short, writing is my wonderland.

 

Let’s start with this…

Writing is (according to me) an activity which can bring both joy and a feeling of relieve. It’s an activity that doesn’t cost money and I can do it almost anywhere and anytime whenever good ideas pop – up in my head. So, for me, writing is a wonderland I made only for me.

It’s a wonderland. Why? Because by writing I can let my imaginations run wild and make a whole new world along with the characters, atmosphere, or even culture. I can be wherever I want while writing something, especially stories and poems, just like when I’m reading books.  Moreover, writing can put my feeling at ease and let me forget all of my problems in reality even for a moment which is quiet helpful in lighten up my mood.

 

Another thing about writing is that I only like two kinds of writing the most which are stories and poems. However, I won’t say I dislike other kinds of writing such as articles, news, and so on, it’s just I would prefer to write stories and poems. Apparently, I like to write stories the most, since in a story I can write about any kind of world and people that are really different from reality. One good thing about writing a story which I like the most is that I can create a brand new character and personality based on what I want my characters to be. The same thing goes with writing poems. In writing poems, I also think and create another world and personality too to make my poems more interesting and so my poems will have storylines. I think, a poem with a storyline would be interesting to read and the readers would also be entertained.

I can’t imagine my life without writing, since I’ve been writing for years and I don’t know how to stop either. Basically, I usually write either at home or in boring classes (I surprisingly can produce good pieces in that kind of situation. Hoho.), but since I have a mobile phone that has Microsoft Word in it, I begin to write wherever I am, including in the bathroom too. :p

So, to end this journal, I’ll say it again that writing is my wonderland I made especially for myself. As I have mentioned above, it is a place to release everything inside of me. More importantly, without writing I wouldn’t know how to express my feelings or how to pour every idea in my head.  If writing had never been discovered, I guess I would be frustrated to the max!
